  1. Q: How do I register?
  2. A: To get to the registration page, click on 'Vote' or 'Upload' at the top of the homepage. Enter all of the required information. Now you're ready to either upload your recipe or vote for your favourite.

  1. Q: How do I upload a recipe?
  2. A: Once you've finished editing your video, made sure it's smaller than 50MB and is in an acceptable format, you're ready to upload it. If you have already registered:
    1. Log in with your email and password at the top of the home page.
    2. Click 'Upload your own recipe with video or picture' on the home page.
    3. Enter all of the required information about your recipe.
    4. Click the 'browse' button to browse for your video or picture. Select the file you want to upload (if not attaching a file, skip this step).
    5. Click 'Submit your recipe' and confirm that you have attached the correct file.
    If you have not already registered:
    1. Click 'Upload' on the home page.
    2. Complete the all of the required information on the registration page.
    3. Click the 'upload your recipe' button.
    4. Enter all of the required information about your recipe.
    5. Click the 'browse' button to browse for your video or picture. Select the file you want to upload (if not attaching a file, skip this step).
    6. Click 'Submit your recipe' and confirm that you have attached the correct file.

  1. Q: How long will my video take to upload?
  2. A: Depending on your connection speed and the size of the video, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours to upload a video. Generally, if you have a high-speed internet connection, you can expect the upload to take somewhere between 1-5 minutes for every 1MB. However, the experience is different for every user because of the variation in connection speeds.

  1. Q: Do I have to register to upload recipes?
  2. A: Yes. Registering allows the recipes to be attached to your profile, and allows you to be entered into the contest.

  1. Q: Can I edit or delete a recipe, video, picture or any corresponding information?
  2. A: No. Once your recipe is uploaded, all information is final and cannot be edited or removed. Please ensure that all information is correct before submitting your recipe.

  1. Q: How long/large can my video be?
  2. A: All videos/pictures uploaded to the site have a 50MB size limit. The longer the video is, the more compression will be required to fit it into that size.

  1. Q: Is there a limit to how many recipes I can upload?
  2. A: There is no limit to the total number of recipes that you can upload, but you can only enter one recipe per day. (click here to view the complete contest rules and regulations)

  1. Q: My upload's been running a long time and hasn't completed. What should I do?
  2. A: Uploading a video can take several hours, depending on the length of your video and the demand on the servers. If your video upload is taking longer than 24 hours to complete, we recommend canceling the download, checking the length and settings for your file, and uploading it again.

  1. Q: I keep being asked to log in, even though I entered my email address and password correctly. What should I do?
  2. A: Our website uses cookies to help identify you. You will need a current version webbrowser with cookies enabled. Please make sure you have these in order to log in and access our site.

  1. Q: I forgot my password. How do I log in to the site?
  2. A: If you forgot your password, click on the link located directly beside the login information (Forget your password? Click HERE) and you will be able to retrieve it.

  1. Q: I never received an email confirming that my video was posted. What happened?
  2. A: Depending on volume, videos can take up to seven business days to verify and post to the site. If after this time, you still haven't received an email, check your email provider's spam folder, or click here to contact us.

  1. Q: How do I find my uploaded recipe?
  2. A: After you have received an email confirming that your recipe has been posted to the site, you can search for your recipe in two ways: 1. typing your name of the name of the recipe in the 'search' box at the top of the screen or 2. clicking on your region of Canada and scrolling through the recipes.

  1. Q: How do I make a video?
  2. A: You'll need to have a device that can capture digital movies - this could be a camcorder or a digital camera. You copy the movies to your computer, and then you can either upload them as-is or edit them with software to add titles and special effects.

  1. Q: Can I upload videos from my cellphone?
  2. A: No. All videos need to come from a camcorder or digital camera. Our system accepts a wide variety of video formats so you may be able to record video from a cellphone and upload it from your computer, however we currently do not accept direct uploads from cellphones.

  1. Q: What video file formats can I upload?
  2. A: The site accepts video files from most digital cameras and camcorders in the .WMV, .AVI, .MOV and .MPG file formats.

  1. Q: How do I edit my video?
  2. A: Most computers come with some sort of video editing application already installed. Using these programs, you can easily edit your videos, add soundtracks, change the file type, compress the file size, etc. There are also more advanced editing programs available for purchase or download online.

  1. Q: How do I tell my friends I have posted a recipe?
  2. A: Canada's Greatest Griller lets you notify your friends when you.ve posted a new recipe. There are two ways to do this: 1. When you receive your confirmation email, forward the link contained within to your friends. 2. Search for your recipe. Click on the 'send to a friend' link and enter your friends' email addresses (to a maximum of four).

  1. Q: I am unable to vote for my favourite recipe. What do I do?
  2. A: You need to be logged into your account to vote. If you are not registered, click on the voting stars on the recipe pop-up and you will be taken to the registration page.

  1. Q: How will you determine who will win the Canada's Greatest Griller contest?
  2. A: The recipe with the highest overall score as determined by the Contest Selection Committee. This will be determined by the following criteria: total number of votes, recipe inclusion of a Diana Sauce or Diana Marinade product, overall performance of the video or overall appearance of the photo submitted, style and creativity of the video/photo and recipe and suitability of the recipe.
